William G. Dye, am old tree man and brother of Mrs. Lewis Hayner, Mrs. W. A. Carver, and Mrs. George Coleman met his death early Tuesday morning while trying to board a south bound train on the C. H. & D. Just how the accident occurred can not be told as the first information of the accident was when officer Somerville stumbled over the remains which were fearfully mangled, the body having been cut in two, the legs crossed above the ankles, the left arm and fingers of the right severed. The remains were taken to Thompson's Undertaking establishment where they were dressed and yesterday afternoon were buried from Mrs. Coleman's residence on Grant Street. Mr. Dye was forty-two years old and unmarried. His untimely death may be in all probability be attributed to his defective hearing.
