MRS. GRACE KEMP DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER
FOUR-WEEK ILLNESS FATAL TO TROY RESIDENT
FUNERAL WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Grace Kemp succumbed at 3:10 Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rogers, 727 Grant street, after an illness of four week's duration. Funeral rites will be held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Irvin funeral home with Dr. A. H. Hook officiating and burial will be made in the Fletcher cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening and until time for the services. Mrs. Kemp was born at Sidney, the daughter of Thomas and Beulah Buchanan. On March 6, 1901, she was joined in marriage to Warren Kemp at Fletcher and they resided on a farm near there before moving to Troy. Mr. Kemp preceded her in death by eight years. A son, Carlton Frazier Kemp, died in 1910, at the age of five. A member of the First Congregational church, Mrs. Kemp took an active interest in all church organizations and in Class Seven of the Sunday school. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter at Lena. Besides the daughter, other survivors are a granddaughter, Marilyn Rogers; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Mumford; two brothers, David B. Buchanan of Piqua and Vernon L. Buchanan of Oakland, Calif.
