Mrs. Clara V. Reeder Thornton, 43, passes away at the Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Clara V. Reeder Thornton, 43 years old, wife of Sheldon Thornton of 614 First street, died at 8 o'clock Sunday morning at Piqua Memorial hospital from meningitis. She had been ill for only four days when death terminated her suffering. She was born July 20, 1891, the daughter of William H. and Mary Reeder, in Plattesville, Ohio, and had lived here for 19 years. On August 15, 1918, she was united in marriage to Sheldon Thornton and to this union, two children were born. Mrs. Thornton was a member of the Springcreek Christian church. Besides her husband, those who survive her are her two sons, Robert, 15 years old, and Albert, 6 years; her mother, Mrs. William H. Reeder, Piqua; two brothers, Harry of near Sidney and Don Reeder of the Statler pike; three sisters, Mrs. George Shawder of near Plattesville, Mrs. Harry VanDine and Mrs. Harry Christy of near Kirkwood. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock in the Fletcher Baptist church with Rev. R. G. Clark officiating. Burial will be made in the Fletcher cemetery.
