AGED WOMAN PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Sarah Benn dies on Saturday morning after long illness of complication. Mrs. Sarah Benn, one of the city's oldest and most highly respected women, died on Saturday morning at 9:20 o'clock at her home on East Franklin street after a long illness of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Benn fell about a year ago, fracturing her hip and had never been well since that time. Mrs. Benn previous to her marriage was Miss Sarah Nesbitt and she was a member of one of Miami county's pioneer families. She was born in Troy on October 24, 1835, and had always made her home in this city. She was the last of a large family. Mrs. Benn's husband was Peter Benn, who preceded her in death a number of years ago. Surviving are two sons, M.S. Benn and Peter Benn of Dayton and one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Boone of St. Louis. Miss Grace Nesbitt, a niece, had made her home with the deceased, since a little girl and gave a most devoted and loving care to the aged woman. Mrs. Benn was a quiet, home-loving woman. She was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral arrangements not complete.
