Columbus Tisor Stricken Friday
Found By Neighbor Six Hours After Death - Funeral Monday
Columbus Tisor, 83, who resided on the corner of West High and Williams Streets in Pleasant Hill passed away at his home about noon Saturday of heart trouble. Neighbors, failing to hear any stir about the home Saturday, made investigation at 5:00 o'clock and found his body lying on the pantry floor. Dr. Woodhouse was summoned and pronounced death due to heart trouble and stated that he believed Mr. Tisor to have been dead approximately six hours.
The deceased was a member of the Church of the Brethren, later attending the Christian Church. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebecca Orders to which he remained faithful.
For many years Mr. Tisor resided on his farm about one-half mile west of Pleasant Hill, moving to Pleasant Hill recently.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ditmer of east Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Lola Sleppy of west Pleasant Hill, three sons, Hiram of Bradford and Hubert of Dayton and William of Bradford, besides a sister, Mrs. Lynn Jones of Covington and many relatives and friends. Funeral services have been arranged for this afternoon at the Christian Church in Pleasant Hill at 2:30, Rev. Charles Flory and Rev. Treebr officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

C. C. Tisor, son of Hiram and Phoebe (Green) Tisor, was born near Pleasant Hill on August the 5th, 1846 and passed to his eternal home on May the 9th, 1930, at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 4 days. He was one of a family of four children of which two have preceded him.
On the 26th of December 1868 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Jones and to this union were born three sons and five daughters of which three daughters have preceded him.
In the winter of 1886 he accepted his Savior and united with the Brethren church.
He was also a member of the Masonic and Odd Fellow Orders. He leaves to mourn his departure, three sons and two daughters, Hiram L. and William R. of Bradford, Ohio, Mrs. Dortha Ditmer of Vandalia, Ohio, Hubert R. of Dayton Ohio and Mrs. Verry Sleppy of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, and sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Eline Jones of Covington, Ohio, also three stepchildren.
The wife and mother passed to her eternal home on February the 6th, 1923.
On September the 9th, 1925 he was married to Elizabeth Matthews. She died June 23rd, 1929.
