John Irvin Gephart
Near the village of Miamisburg, Ohio, there came to the home of Edward and Amanda Gephart on the 23rd day of March, 1885, a little son to whom they gave the name of John Irvin.
In that community he grew to manhood, and in the year 1909 was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Varner of Pleasant Hill. No children were born to this union, but eight years ago they took into their home little Dolly Trydle, a niece, and who has been nurtured almost to womanhood by them.
For a number of years they have made their home in Detroit where Mr. Gephart has been employed as a trimmer in the great automobile factories. About three years ago he developed the disease which caused his death Friday morning July 1st, 1927, at the age of 41 years 3 months and 7 days.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure his father Edward Gephart of Miamisburg; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Coons, one brother, Robert and many other relatives and friends who will remember him for his happy smile and loving disposition.
Here is an inn a stranger dwelt
Here joy and grief by turns he felt
Poor, dwelling, now we close the door
The task if o'er
The sojourner returns no more.
