Margaret Scamahorn  

Margaret C. Scamahorn, 84, of 127 Staunton Street, Piqua, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at 12:25 p.m. in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.  She was born in Piqua on Dec. 15, 1916 to the late George Carl and Edna Louise Cron Clayton.  She married Howard E. Scamahorn on Nov. 1, 1951 in Piqua; he preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1992.  Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard N. and Sharman Scamahorn of Piqua; two grandchildren, Andrew L. Scamahorn and Brian L. Scamahorn; two sisters, Dorothy Kesting of Dayton, and Leota Hunt of Arcanum; a step-brother, James Carey of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; and a step-sister, Jean Strome of Riverside, Calif.  She was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. Scamahorn was a 1935 graduate of Piqua Central High School and retired in 1974 as an office clerk from the former Canteen Corporation of Piqua.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.  A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Jamieson & Yannacci Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scot Ocke officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, 9411 N.
