JOSEPH KARNS
Rites for Joseph Karns, 88, of 308 South Fourth Street, Tipp City, retired farmer, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Middle District Church of the Brethren, of which he was a member, with Rev. C. V. Coppock officiating. Burial was made in Maple Hill cemetery, Tipp City. Mr. Karns who died Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at his home after less than a week's illness, moved to Tipp City from a farm near that village 25 years ago because of ill health from which he later recovered. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sam Shellaberger of Covington and Mrs. Hettie Mahaffey of Dayton; four brothers, William of Laura, Frank of West Milton, Tom and Isaac of Trotwood.
