SNYDER, H. P. - One of Troy's most highly respected citizens was H. P. Snyder who passed away early Wednesday morning at his home on Lincoln avenue after an illness of only one day.  For some time, however, he had been feeble and Tuesday afternoon while out for a short walk he fell.  While the fall was not thought to be serious he became unconscious that evening and died the following morning.  Mr. Snyder was born in Spoyistown, Pa., Feb. 18, 1829, and on March 22, 1853, married Miss Ellen H. Kurtz of Somerset, Pa.  He removed to Wapakoneta in 1865 and came to Troy in 1873.  For years he was employed at the Troy Wagon Works, where some ten years ago an accident caused him to lose the fingers on his right hand.  Since then he had lived a retired life.  The wife and three sons survive, Edward and Luther Snyder, of this city, and Will Snyder of Jacksonville, Fla.  Will Snyder will arrive Thursday.  Mr. Snyder was a member of the English church and for years served in an official capacity.  In this as in all his relations of life, he showed those qualities of faithfulness and integrity for which he will long be remembered.  The funeral will be held from the Lutheran church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon and will be conducted by the Rev. C. E. Paulus.
