Former Covington Resident Passes Sunday Morning
Mrs. C. P. Shuman Dies at Her Home in Pittsburg, Pa.
Word was received yesterday of the death of Mrs. C. P. Shuman, who with her
husband resided in Pittsburgh, Pa., for the past several years.
Her passing was a result of a stroke suffered early Sunday morning and having
been in good health is a great shock to her many relatives and friends in and
near Covington. Mrs. Shuman's first husband was a brother of Mr. Charles
Maier of this village. She was the mother of Philo Maier who is
sojourning in South America. A sister, Mrs. George Buckingham of near
West Alexander, died recently. Deceased, besides her husband and son,
left three brothers who reside in Dayton, and a large circle of collateral
relatives in Covington and vicinity.
Funeral arrangements have not been made but burial will no doubt be made here
in Highland Cemetery.
