CYNTHIA ANN SMITH
Cynthia Ann Smith lost her battle with cancer on Sunday morning at her home
in Conover, Ohio. She was born on January 13, 1946 to Charles M. and Beulah M. (Longendelpher)
Wray. Her mother, 86, survives and resides in Piqua.
Cynthia leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Charles F. Smith and her only
daughter and son-in-law, Holly A. (Smith) and Paul D. Ricci; 3 step-grandsons,
Christopher, Steven, and Michael Ricci.
Other family members who will greatly miss her include 4 brothers and
sisters-in-law, Keith and Julia Wray of Tipp City, David and Sharon Wray of New
Bremen, Phil and Patty Wray of Troy, Larry Wray of Troy; 2 sisters and
brothers-in-law, Joan and David Randall of Troy, Shirley and Lee Shank of
Greenville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mabel and Jerry Caldwell of
Bradford; 2 sisters-in-law, Patsy and spouse Tom Muter of Columbus, Penny Smith
of Bradford. She is also leaves behind 14 nieces, 9 nephews and very many
special friends whose lives were all touched by her fun-loving spirit. She was
preceded in death by her father, Charles M. Wray and a sister-in-law, Pam
Woolery.
Cindi was a 1965 graduate of Troy High School. She was employed for 10 years in
Retail Sales at the former Ontario department store in Troy and then spent 10
years at the Troy Board of Education as their Accounts Payable Clerk. The past
few years she has been enjoying her retirement at her home in the country.
There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, June 15, 2006, 11:00 A.M. at
the Faith Alliance Church, 6670 Knoxville Ave., New Bremen, Ohio with Pastor K.
Dean Greenwood and Pastor David L. Wray officiating. Friends may call at
Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00
P.M. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. (1 hour prior to
service). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Cindi’s
honor to Hospice of Miami Co. P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
