CLARICE L. CAMPBELL UFHEIL

CLARICE L. UFHEIL, age 94, of Piqua, O. went home to be with her Lord Saturday Feb. 18, 2006 at 4:05 P.M. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, O. She was born May 8, 1911 in Wisterman, O. to the late Warren and Grace (Aultman) Campbell. Clarice married the love of her life Virgilius Joseph John Ufheil on July 3, 1937 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. And he preceded her in death on March 5, 1994.  
Surviving are 2 Daughters: Marrianne Bemis of Findlay, O. and Janice Hazelrigg of Harrington, Tenn. 5 Grandchildren: Angela & Bill Tocci of Huber Heights, O.; Erica & Jim Price of Huber Heights, O.; Shane Blackburn and Jason Blackburn both of Fostoria, O.; Ryan & Amy Blackburn of Findlay, O. and 13 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Ufheil was preceded in death by: 3 Sisters and 1 Brother.

Clarice graduated from Continental High School in 1928 and attended one year of business college in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Piqua and was a member of the Altar Society of the church and a long time lector of the church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus Auxillary, the home arts at the Piqua YWCA and the Piqua Leisure Club.
Mrs. Ufheil was selected church Worker of the Year by the Piqua Kiwanis Club.
Clarice was a typist for 13 years at Driebelbiss Abstract Co. in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She was sales and Assistant manager for Nobil Endicott Shoe Co. in Piqua for 34 years retiring in 1976.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday Feb. 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church, Piqua with Rev. Thomas Grilliot as celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
