RITES WEDNESDAY
Following rites at the George Miller funeral home, Dayton, for Burt Nelson Compton, 61, of 1519 Oakridge drive, Dayton, committal services were conducted Wednesday at Forest Hill cemetery here in charge of the Rev. Leroy V. Simms. A native of Piqua and brother of Mrs. Arthur Yates of this city, Mr. Compton died Sunday as the result of a heart attack a week ago. His death occurred at Miami Valley hospital. He was manager of the National Carloading Corporation. Relatives who came to Piqua for committal services and remained for dinner at the home of Mrs. Arthur yates, West Water street, were: Mrs. and Mrs. Walter Bane of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Charles Orr with his daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kauffman, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kessler and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brashaw, all of Tipp City; Mrs. Burt Compton with her sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Cron Compton of Dayton, Mr. and Mrs. William Compton of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Compton of Cincinnati; Mrs. Blanche Lang and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Marcellus Lang, all of Kokomo, Ind. Friends of the Comptons, Mr. and Mrs. Tilton and Mr. and Mrs. Wheatley of Dayton were also present.
