WILLIAMS, WILLIAM - Williams
Williams, 69, residing at Alcony, formerly of this city, died at his home about
midnight Sunday following a serious illness of several days due to paralysis.
Mr. Williams suffered a stroke of paralysis about Thursday of last week and
declined rapidly. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon at his home. Dr. J. H. Lighbourne, pastor of the First Christian
church of this city, will officiate at the obsequies and burial will be made in
Riverside cemetery here. Mr. Williams spent the greater part of his life
on a farm west of Troy and following his retirement from farming, removed to
Troy and lived on East Franklin street. Two years ago, he went to Alcony
to reside. While in Troy he was a member and attended the First Christian
church. The decedent is survived by his widow, one son, Fred, who lives
west of Alcony, and one grandson, Paul.
