THOMAS, WILLIAM I., ESQ. - On Saturday last, at Lawrence, Kansas, after a short illness William I. Thomas, Esq., of this place, aged about 74 years.  Mr. T. left home a few days previous, in this usual health, on an excursion to the Buffalo regions of the great West for the purpose of recreation and a Buffalo hunt on the Plains.  He was taken sick in Kansas, and died as above stated, and his remains brought home and interred on Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery.  As Mr. T. was one of our oldest citizens, and in years past one of considerable prominence, we presume a more extended notice of him will be given to the public.
