GINGRICH, WILLIAM -
William Gingrich, farmer between 38 and 40 years of age, residing a mile from
Covington, in this county, committed suicide early on Tuesday morning by cutting
his throat with a pen knife. He was an excellent citizen and in
comfortable circumstances. He was married to his second wife but a week
since joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was immersed the day
previous to his death. He lost his first wife, a most amiable woman, a
year before, and now leaves two children 6 and 12 years of age to mourn his
