Wayne C. Benning, Retired French Oil Employee, Dies
The
Rev. L. C. Florstedt will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the J. C.
Cron Sons Chapel for Wayne C. Benning, 64, of the St. Mary's Road, Rt. 1, Piqua,
which occurred at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Piqua Memorial Hospital.
He had been in failing health for several years and a patient at the
hospital 10 days. Burial will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Born in Piqua, March
15, 1899, he was the son of Stephen and Margaret DeBray Benning.
He had lived in this city most of his life and attended local schools.
His marriage to Frances E. Graham took place here May 29, 1925.
He was a retired machinist for the French Oil Mill Machinery Co. He
is survived by his wife, Frances; a son, Robert, of Piqua; two daughters, Mrs.
Robert Campling (Eleanor) of Rt. 1, Piqua, and Mrs. George Grunert (Virginia) of
Indianapolis: a sister, Mrs. Ethel Eichhorn of Detroit, and eight grandchildren.
A brother, W. D. Benning, a sister, Retha Benning, and a grandson,
Michael William Benning, are deceased. Friends may call at the funeral home
today and until the time of the services tomorrow.
