STRAYER, W. W. - W. W. Strayer, a former resident of Troy, died at his home in Indianapolis, Tuesday night, after an illness of only a week.  He was 55 years of age.  His death was due to pneumonia and heart trouble.  He is survived by his widow, one son, one daughter and a brother and sister.  The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the home of his sister, Mrs. Daniel Debra, in Pleasant Hill.

STRAYER, WM. W. - Pleasant Hill --Wm. W. Strayer died in Indianapolis on March first from pneumonia.  He was the son of David and Sarah Longnaker Strayer and was born in Pennsylvania , August 8, 1854.  At the age of 23 he was married and his widow, one daughter, one son, a brother and a sister survive him.  He was a member of the Hopewell Christian church.  While a citizen of this place he filled a number of offices to the satisfaction of all.  The funeral was held March third from the home of D. W. DeBra and was conducted by Rev. O. P. Furnas assisted by the Revs. Kerr & Frantz.  Interment at Pleasant Hill cemetery.  Among those present at the funeral from out-of-town were William Corwin and wife of South Charleston, Miss Dora Coate of Marion, Ind., Mrs. Boyd of Indianapolis, Mrs. Shilling, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Coate and family, and Mrs. Ralph Gibson of Troy, Mrs. and Mrs. Wesley Stahl and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Reiber of Bradford, Harry Brown of Fletcher and Harold Coate of West Milton.  The relatives are grateful to the people of Pleasant Hill for many kindnesses rendered.    UNCLE JAKE.
