PATTY, W. O. - W. O. Patty of the firm of Patty & Coppock, who was formerly in business at Fletcher and Pleasant Hill, was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon, at their gravel pit at Pt. Jefferson, near Greenville.  Mr. Patty fell from a gravel car at the pit about 5 o'clock and the car ran over him.  The wheels passed over his right leg between the hip and the knee and left leg between the knee and ankle and both were crushed.  He was taken to his cottage near the pit and several physicians called, but without avail, and death came about 9 o'clock.  Mr. Patty was well known and respected in Miami county.  He was about 40 years of age and leaves a widow and three sons.  The remains were taken to Pleasant Hill and the funeral will be held Friday.
