THOMPSON, W. C. - W. C. Thompson, known as "Uncle Billy" Thompson, at one time a Troy merchant, being a member of the firm of Perry & Thompson, died at the county infirmary Tuesday evening of heart trouble.  He was 81 years of age and had been in the county institution for four years.  Mr. Thompson was one time clerk of Concord township.  He had many friends and was much respected but reverses came and he was compelled to seek the shelter where he ended his days.  He is survived by a wife and stepdaughter, who reside at Oxford.  The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, Rev. W. D. Holt, officiating.  Interment at Riverside cemetery.
