TEUFEL, GEORGE F. - Behold what heroes the scythe of Time makes among the human race! Died, at his residence in Troy, on the 11th instant, at 6 o'clock A.M., George F. Teufel--and his wife died the same day at 10 o'clock P.M. Our worthy brother, George F. Teufel was a P. G. of Troy Lodge No. 42, I. O. O. F., and by his death the order has lost a serious friends and his dear children a kind and a tender father, and the country a true patriot. His remains were followed to the tomb by a large number of brothers and friends, and interred according to the usages of the order of Odd Fellows side by side with his departed wife. And Whereas, It has pleased an all wise Providence to remove from among us our beloved brother and sister, be it Resolved, That while we live in humble submission to the will of him who ruleth Heaven and Earth, we can but mourn, and regret the death of our brother and sister. Resolved, That we deeply, sincerely and affectionately sympathize with his dear children in the double bereavement they had sustained in the loss of a kind father and an affectionate mother. Resolved. That Troy Lodge No. 43, I. O. O. F., be draped in mourning for the space of thirty days, and that the foregoing preamble and resolutions be entered upon the minutes of the Lodge, and published in the Troy Times and Miami Union. Geo. Keifer.
