ALLEN, CAROLINE - At the residence of her father, Jacob Allen, in Middletown Point, New Jersey on Sunday Morning, April 18th, Miss Caroline Allen, of Consumption, in the 16th year of her age.

The parting hour has come,
Dear Callie has passed away;
Her spirit to her God above,
Her body to her kindred clay.
Oh, cruel death, why did'st
Thou come and strike the fatal blow,
And take sweet Callie, from her home
To the dark cold grave below.
Oh who could wish sweet Callie back
To suffer and to die,
While she is blest, forever blest,
She dwells with God on high.
