BARRETT, THOMAS CLARKSON - [Communicated] - Departed this life on Sunday morning the 22d instant, in Troy, Thomas Clarkson Barrett in the 31st year of his age.  The deceased was taken on the 5th of July last, with hemorrhage of the lungs, followed with consumption.  For nearly six months he suffered greatly, yet he bore his affliction with great patience and fortitude, as he daily descended to the grave, without a reasonable hope of recovery.  The deceased was remarkable for his filial and paternal affection and had a wife and infant son which he dearly loved, yet by the Grace of God, he was enabled to give all up and all the captivating allurements of the world for the assurance he had of the life immortal with the Redeemer where the weary are at rest, leaving wife, brother, sisters and a large circle of friends to deplore their incomparable loss.  The Lafayette Blues (of which company he was a member) and the Troy Band, generously turned out with a very large number of citizens, to the funeral accompanying his remains to Trinity Church, where a feeling and eloquent discourse was delivered by his beloved Pastor, the Rev. Mr. Telford and from thence to the Grave Yard where his buried remains rest by the side of his mother and two brothers until the morning of the Resurrection.
