POFFENBARGER, OLIVER B. - Railroad Accident - On Thursday evening last, as the gravel train was returning to the depot, Oliver B. Poffenbarger, aged about 11 years, son of Capt. John Poffenbarger of this place, was thrown from the foremost car, and the whole train passed over him mangling him in so shocking a manner, that he died in a few hours. He, with other boys, we understand, was on the train, merely for a little ride. We hope this distressing affliction will prove a warning to parents, as well as to those having charge of railroad cars. Boys should be kept from them, unless on business. Urbana Citizen
