Troy Times

January 26, 1854 

STEWART, MARIA - Died on 20th inst., at 2 o'clock A.M. in this place, Maria Stewart, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart, aged 26 years.  On the day previous she dined with the family as usual.  Suddenly, in the bloom of youth, has she been called away from a large circle of associates, and from bereaved and afflicted relatives.  Impressively her death enforced the words of the Great Teacher--"Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh."
