SHACKELFORD, JAMES WALLACE - On Monday, the 13th inst., in Troy, O., James Wallace, only son of Dr. R. J. and S. A. Shackelford, aged 1 year, 6 months and 21 days. In the disease of this child the parents have sustained a loss truly great. He was a child of marked physical development and already gave just ground of brightest hope on the qualities of which mentioned. He had just arrived at the period when the fullness of child power was beginning to be demonstrated. While these stricken parents are remembering as only broken hearts can his childish joys, they are only consoled by the assurance that the little bark that went so rapidly over life's tempestuous son has gained safe anchorage at the city of life. "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not for such is the Kingdom of God."
