KERR, HAMILTON JR. - Died - At his residence in Monroe Township, on
Wednesday evening, the 19th inst., Hamilton Kerr, Jr., aged about 25 years.
He had a severe attack of Pleurisy, about the first of March, from which he
never recovered. He was cut down in the prime of life, and in the midst of
activity and usefulness. He was a young man of talent and worth, and
enjoyed to the fullest extent the respect and confidence of all who knew him;
and his loss will be severely felt; by an affectionate wife, and a child (three
or four months old,) and a large circle of relatives and friends, among whom are
his father and mother. He had been married but little more a year when he
died; and but few men appear more favorably situated to enjoy life than he--the
prospects before him were fair and cheering. But the all-wise disposer of
events knows best when to call his children away; and may all submit to his
dispensations with becoming fortitude and resignation.
