December 17, 1846 

EDWARDS, ELIZABETH - Departed this life on the 30th ult., Elizabeth Edwards, consort of the late Thomas Edwards of Bethel Township, at the advance age, of nine-six years.  This aged lady was highly esteemed, by her neighbors and fellow citizens for her many virtues, and excellences, and retained her physical and mental energies in a remarkable degree, almost to the very close of her life.  Her early life was spent in the midst of those stirring scenes of the revolution that "tried men's souls;" and almost all her relations, were cut of by the merciless savage.  She died as the christian only is privileged to die, in the full expectation of immortality and eternal life.                           A NEIGHBOR
