Brown
Shirley Schulz Brown, 67, of 306 Ron Aire Drive, Piqua, and also a part-time resident of Tequesta, Fla., died Monday, July 4, 1994, at 9:20 a.m. in Stouder Memorial Hospital. She was born April 16, 1927, in Piqua, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Gladys M. Umstead Schulz. She was married to Richard K. Cron. He preceded her in death in 1990. She then married Lee Brown. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Richard K. Cron of Piqua, Steve K. Cron of Littleton, Colo., and David K. Cron of Petaluma, Calif.; one stepson, Jay Brown of Chicago, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Leigh Brown of New York City; two brothers, Thomas Schulz of McLean Va.; and Robert Schulz of Fort Myers, Fla., and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Piqua. She was a graduate of Piqua Central High School class of 1945 and attended Ward Belmont College, Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of the Piqua Order of Eastern Star 320, past matron in 962 and secretary form 1972 to 1982. She had been employed for 20 years at J. M. Mould of Piqua. Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Bridges Stocker Funeral Home, Covington, with the Rev. Steve Wills officiating. The body will be cremated. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Eastern Star service will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Heart Fund.
