NICEWONGER, SAMUEL - Samuel Nicewonger was born in Shelby county, March 8, 1848.  He was united in marriage to Miss Matilda A. Stickler January 1, ____.  To this union eight children were born: William Nicewonger, Fletcher, Mrs. Rena Sherwood, Troy, Mrs. John Wagner, Piqua, Charles B. Nicewonger, Fletcher, and Miss Pernine A. Nicewonger of Fletcher are still living.  Mr. Nicewonger died July 2, 1910, aged 62 years, 3 months, and 24 days.  About seven years ago his beloved wife passed to the better land.  Besides his own children, he leaves to mourn his loss, one brother, Robert H. Nicewonger, Remus, Michigan, one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Holin, Rosewood, five grandchildren and a host of friends, all of whom will sadly miss him.  He was a kind and affectionate father, a good neighbor, one who was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand in every time of need.
