ROSE A. SWOB

Rose A. Swob, 96, of Piqua, died Saturday, Aug. 12 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born in Piqua on Sept. 11, 1903 to the late Andrew R. and Elizabeth Rempfer Cron. She married Raymond S. Swob on Sept. 24, 1927, in Conover.  He preceded her in death on June 5, 1998. Survivors include a son, Richard L. Swob of Carmel, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy M.) Kasler of Piqua and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Brigham of New Springfield; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.  Mrs. Swob was a homemaker and a member of the Congregational Christian Church of Christ.  A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family on Tuesday in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard N. Henry Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational Christian United Church of Christ, 421 Broadway, Piqua, or Hospice of Miami County, 1900 Stanfield Rd., Troy.
