Rita M. Swob  

TROY – Rita M. Swob, 50, of 1747 Lakeshore Dr. died Sunday at 11:30 p.m. in Stouder Memorial Hospital. She was born in Springfield Sept. 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Forrest Roof and Marguerite Scarff Roof.  Her mother survives and resides in Piqua.  She married Richard L. Swob in Piqua June 9, 1951.  He survives. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Troy, where she was an ordained elder, chairman of the worship committee and a member of the choir.  She was a graduate of Bowling Green State University.  She was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and past president and director of the Troy Civic Theater. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Jay D. who is attending Toledo University; a daughter, Kimberly A., a student at Ohio State University; two brothers, Robert of Washington, N.C., and William of Florissant, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Marshall (Libby) of DeWitt, Mich. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Walnut St., with the Rev. Edward Sensenbrenner and the Rev. Robert Brigham officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements are being made by Jamieson Funeral Home, 333 W. High St., Piqua.  Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
