Miami Union

PURCELL, PERMELIA ANNA - Union--Permelia Anna Purcell, daughter of the late Dr. Samuel and Mary Hawkins, died at 12:10 a.m., Friday, July 26, at her home here.  Death was due to paralysis from which she had suffered for the last six months.  She was born Sept. 30, 1844, at Union.  She became the wife of George Purcell on Jan. 5, 1865, and her husband, four sons and several grandchildren survive her.  The funeral services were held from her late home at 2:30 p.m., July 28, Rev. O. P. Furnas conducting the services.  Burial in Minnich cemetery.  Mrs. Purcell was the last of a large family, her father, mother, brothers and sisters all being dead.
