KAPPELER, ALBERT - Albert K. Kappeler 99, of New Carlisle, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010. He was born June 11, 1911 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, the son of the late John & Nettie (Koch) Kappeler. He retired from Otis Elevator and was a woodworking hobbyist. He was a member of the New Carlisle Missionary Church. He is survived by daughter, Carol Bicknell; sister, Grace Ott; six grandchildren, Jeanie & Fred Horine, Cherri & Him Crammer, Joni & Bob Cairo, Jamie & Paul Turpin, Joe & Sue Bicknell, Dana & Janie Bicknell; thirteen great-grandchildren; nineteen great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Wilma Kappeler; daughter, Joan Diane Kappeler; son-in-law, Lowell Bicknell; brother, John Kappeler; great-granddaughter, Summer Francis. Services were held Aug. 6 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Burial was at Medway Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com.
