SCHAEFER, MRS. NANCY - Phoneton--Mrs. Nancy Schaefer died Tuesday, March 14, at her home near Sulphur Grove death being due to a complication of diseases from which she had been suffering for several months.  She was born about 75 years ago in Wayne township, Montgomery county, and was a daughter of Jacob and Barbara Houder.  The Houders moved west over 50 years ago.  Mrs. Schaefer was the last living member of her family which consisted of nine children.  She was married to Daniel Schaefer who died not many months ago.  She is survived by three children.  There are three sons dead.  One died here, one in Seattle and the last in Alaska from where his body was brought hundreds of miles by dogs and sledges at a large cost.  Mrs. Schaefer was a member of the Reformed church at Bethel.  The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, March 16.  Interment at Bethel cemetery.
