BOWMAN, MRS. NANCY - Mrs. Nancy Bowman passed away early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Shellenberger in Troy at the age of 72 years.  She was born in Butler county and at an early age she united with the Brethren church and has remained a faithful and consistent member ever since.  She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.  Her husband passed away about 28 years ago and for the past 10 years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Shellenberger, on Court street.  She leaves to mourn her loss seven children, Mrs. Lydia DeWeese, Mrs. Susan Edwards and Mrs. Samuel Shellenberger of Troy, Mrs. Friedly Frantom of Raper Chapel, Mrs. Emory Harrod of West Milton, John Bowman of Ludlow Falls and George Bowman of Miamisburg; and one step-son, Oliver Bowman of Kessler,  There were 37 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She also leaves two brothers and two sisters, Henry Emerick of Troy, Phillip Emerick of Poastown, Mrs. Mary Davis of Riverside, Ind., and Mrs. Susan Brigham of Eaton, Ind.  The funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Samuel Shellenberger, on Court street.  Rev. D. S. Ferguson conducted the services and burial was made at Raper Chapel cemetery, the pallbearers being relatives.
