BELOVED LADY IS TAKEN AWAY

Mrs. Mary Cron Brading Hears Final Summons Thursday Morning

The death angel called to another of Piqua’s old and most respected citizens Thursday morning at 9:15 when Mrs. Mary Cron Brading passed into the great beyond.  Mrs. Brading was 92 years, 2 months and 24 days of age having been born January 29, 1829, on the old Cron farm east of the city on the Urbana Pike.  Mrs. Brading was very well known in Piqua.  She was a woman of very retiring nature and well loved by all who came in touch with her.  For the past two years she had been confined to her room and for the last six months to her bed.  During all this suffering she maintained a wonderful, cheerful manner making it a pleasure for her friends to visit with her. Mrs. Brading was united in marriage to Mr. Jerry Brading and to this union seven children were born, two of these have preceded their mother in passing, the oldest and youngest.  This kind lady was a woman to whom her home came first in her consideration with her church second, she having united with the Greene street church when a very young woman, taking an active part up until the time her failing health would not permit. Mrs. Mary Brading was the last of her immediate family and is survived by three daughters and two sons, eight grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren.  Mrs. J. W. McMacken of Dayton; Mrs. B. B. Pease and Miss Tillie Brading of Piqua; Mr. George Brading of Coshocton, Ohio, and Mr. Edward A. Brading of Los Angeles, California.  The funeral services will be held at the late home at 610 Main Street at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon.  Rev.
