SHUMAN, MRS. MARY A. - Maples--Mrs. Mary A. Shuman died Dec. 2nd at Rochester, Ind., death being due to old age.  She was born in Franklin county, Pa., June 13, 1825, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Miller.  She was married to John G. Shuman who died about five years ago.  She is survived by five sons, G. W., J. A. and D. A. of near Troy and A. M. and H. F. of Rochester, Ind.  Since her husband's death she had made her home with her son Abraham of Rochester, Ind.  The funeral services were held Sunday Dec. 4, from the Evangelical church of Rochester of which she was an active member.  Interment was made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery of that city.  Mrs. Shuman was a kind and affectionate mother, a good neighbor and a true friend.  Besides her five sons she leaves ten grandchildren and many warm friends in this vicinity who will be pained to hear of her sudden death.
