SMITH, MRS. JACOB - Mrs. Jacob Smith, 71, a highly respected German woman of Troy, died Wednesday afternoon at her home on West Main street.

Mrs. Smith was born in Germany and came to this country in 1858.  She conducted a grocery on West Main street for a number of years and only recently deposed of the place on account of her health.  She is survived by three sons, Charles, Otto and Jacob.  The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. John's church.
