SMITH, MRS. EMMA E. - Union--Mrs. Emma E. Smith died at 11 a.m. August 22, the cause being pneumonia.  She was born Nov. 3, 1866, at Salem and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brooks.  She was married Oct. 26, 1887, and is survived by her husband one daughter and one son.  She was a good, noble wife and mother and an active Christian and an enemy of none.  The funeral was held at the Edgewood U. B. church of which organization she was a member, on Aug 24, conducted by Rev. Denlinger.  Interment at Fairview.
