PLEASANT, MRS. ELVIRA - Patty--Mrs. Elvira Pleasant died May 18th at the home of her son, O. W. Pleasant, paralysis of the brain being the cause of her demise.  She was ill only a few days.  She was born May 6, 1822, in Powhatan county, Va., her maiden name being Woolson.  She married Wm. Pleasant who preceded her in death.  She removed to Montgomery county, Ohio, in 1869, and after a brief residence there came to Darke county where she spent most of the remainder of her life.  She was a member of the Trotwood Christian church.  She is survived by four sons, G. W. of Laura, William of Gettysburg, Robert and James of Dayton; also 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at the home of her son, G. W. Pleasant, at 1 p.m. May 20 and were conducted by the Rev. Enos Pemberton.  Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
