STEPHEN, MRS. ELIZABETH - Harper's Ferry--Mrs. Elizabeth Stephen died February 24 at Covington.  She was born in Montgomery county, June 23, 1829.  In December, 1848, she was married to her husband preceding her in death several years.  She is survived by six children.  The funeral was held Sunday from the Piqua Lutheran church of which she was a member.  Interment at Forest Hill.  Until the death of Mr. Stephen they lived in Loraime township, Shelby county, on the farm he bought in 1847 paying $6.25 an acre for it.  Mrs. Stephen handled every brick in the house which is still standing.
