Mrs. Cora Hennessey  

Mrs. Cora M. Hennessey, 78, of 316 W. North, was dead on arrival at 9:45 a.m. at Piqua Memorial Hospital.  She had been ill one year. Born in Piqua, Nov. 13, 1895, she was a daughter of George and Margaret Johnson Cron.  She lived in Piqua all her life and was a graduate of Piqua Central High School. She was married to Thomas Hennessey who died in 1962.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. James Rowe (Eleanor), Dayton; Mrs. Dorothy Vail, Dayton; and Mrs. James Webster (Eileen), Piqua; three sons, Richard, Piqua; Daniel, Piqua; and William, Celina; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  One son, a sister, and six brothers preceded her in death. Mass of the Resurrection will be intoned Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church by the Rev. Fr. Harold Sommer. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.  Members of St. Mary’s parish will meet for prayers in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
