SHARDEW, MRS. BESSIE MARRS - Mrs. Bessie Marrs Shardew, wife of Joseph Shardew of Piqua, died in the Grant hospital in Columbus, Wednesday morning, Feb. 28, aged 22 years, 4 months and 23 days.  She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marrs.  Mr. Marrs being a prominent dairyman living northeast of Piqua.  Mrs. Shardew was taken to Columbus Sunday to undergo an operation for flesh tumor.  The case proved to be much more serious than was anticipated and the surgeons could give the relatives no encouragement from the start.  The deceased was born in Illinois but lived the greater part of her life in and near Piqua.  Funeral services were held in the home of John Everly, North Main street, Piqua, Friday at 1 p.m.  The uncles attended as pall-bearers.  Burial in Wesley Chapel cemetery, northeast of Kirkwood.
