SHAFER, MRS. ANNA - Maples--Mrs. Anna Shafer died Monday afternoon, Oct. 16, at her home near Troy after an illness lasting seven weeks. She was born Feb. 24, 1873, near Kessler and was the daughter of Joshua and Susan Pearson. After securing her own education she became a teacher in the public schools. Sept. 26, 1894, she was united in marriage with Harry Shafer who together with four sons and two daughters survive her. She was of a kind and lovable disposition always sharing her smiles and love with others. She born her last illness with great patience. She was a member of the Friends' church. The funeral was held from the beautiful home near Troy, Thursday afternoon, Oct. 19, the services being conducted by Rev. Etter. Interment was made at Riverside cemetery, Troy.
