WIDOW OF ANDREW CRON DIES AFTER 5 MONTH ILLNESS  

Mrs. Elizabeth Cron, 81, 610 Boal Avenue, widow of Andrew R. Cron, died at 1 p.m. Saturday at Piqua Memorial hospital where she had been a patient 12 weeks.  She had been ill 5 months. Born in Auglaize County near Wapakoneta, August 28, 1869, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Meng Rempfer.  She attended school at Buckland and lived on a farm in the eastern part of Springcreek Township for 33 years before coming to Piqua 25 years ago.  She was a member of the Congregational Christian church. Surviving are a son; Forrest E. Cron, Fairview road, route 2, Piqua; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Swob (Rose) of Piqua; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Frank Baber (Callie) of Taxhome, Okla.  A sister, Mrs. Katie Hengstler died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday at Wapakoneta, 14 hours and 10 minutes after Mrs. Cron.  Her husband died in 1924 and she was also preceded in death by a son, Alva, and a daughter, Mrs. Forrest Rauscher (Freda). Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the J. C. Cron and Sons Chapel will be conducted by the Rev. Bryon M. Flory of the Church of the Brethren and the Rev. Roger Gough of the Congregational Christian church with burial in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the J. C. Cron and Sons funeral home today and Tuesday.
