Reuben Thompson
Funeral Services for Reuben Thompson of Sidney were held at 7 o'clock Monday evening at his residence and Tuesday morning the remains were taken to Pleasant Hill for burial.
Saturday afternoon Mr. Thompson suffered a stroke of paralysis while down in Sidney on business and he died at 12:45 o'clock Sunday morning. He was born near Sidney March 16, 1839. He was a veteran of the Civil War and was a member of the Neal Post G. A. R. the Odd Fellows and the Knights of the Golden Eagle.
He is survived by the wife and these children: Mrs. Neil Brandon of Troy, Mrs. Olla Shinn of Springfield, Elmer Thompson and Guy Thompson of Lima, the sisters are Mrs. Sarah Williams of Troy, Mrs. Nancy Jones of Dayton, Mrs. Rachel Neff of Covington.
