DYE, JAMES M. - Fatal Accident - Mr. James M. Dye, one of the oldest native citizens of this county, met with a fatal accident last Saturday evening while returning from Troy to his home four miles southeast of town.  He was alone in his buggy and in making a turn in the road about two miles from this, by some sudden movement of the horse, as is supposed, was thrown to the ground, receiving injuries from which he died on Monday night following.  Mr. Dye was sixty-eight years old, and a native of this county.  There were few men in the county better known than he was, and no one in it who knew more of its early history than he did.  He leaves a wife and some six or seven children--none of them minors, however.
