January 30, 1869 

BRADLEY, FREDDIE H. - In Troy, January 20th, 1869, Freddie H., youngest son of James Bradley--aged 13 years, 10 months and 28 days.  The following lines are appended at the request of members of the deceased's Sabbath School class: 

"Death has been here and borne away
  A scholar from our side
Just in the morning of the day
  As young as we he died.

 Not long ago he filled his place,
  And sat with us to learn:
But he has run his mortal race,
  And never can return.

 We cannot tell who next may fall
  Beneath thy chastening rod:
One must be first; oh, may we all
  Prepare to meet our God!"
