PAULUS, MISS PEARL IRENE - Miss Pearl Irene Paulus, 25, of R. R. 1, Houston, Route 48, sister of Marion Paulus of Piqua, died early Sunday evening at Wilson Memorial hospital, Sidney, from complications after a polio attack.  She had been ill since Jan. 17 of this year.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Remy's Catholic church, Russia.  Burial will be in the St. Remy cemetery.  Friends may call at the Heinl Funeral home, Minster, Tuesday afternoon and evening.  A native of Newport, she was the daughter of Stephen and Ruth Barga Paulus, who survive.  Stricken with polio when she was in her first year of high school at Fort Loramie, Miss Paulus obtained a tutor and finished school at home in Houston.  She also complete a course in watch repair.  Surviving besides her parents are six brothers, Marion of Piqua, Norman of Newport and Donald, Jerome, Joseph and William, all at home; five sisters, Mrs. Harold Cersham of Newport, Mrs. Jerry Prostman of Manhatten, Kan., and Rita, Mary Jane and Audrey at home.
